The Eagle's Café staff would like to thank the entire faculty, staff and students for a wonderful first year in our new building.  The reception to the newer and healthier food options has been fantastic.  Also, the feeling of having the Dining Commons as the center of campus is tremendous.

Among the nations of the world, at 1,875 square miles, its land mass puts it just behind Luxembourg and Mauritius in geographic size.  Count as its historical terriroty, 18,750 square miles, and it's smaller than Israel but larger than Kuwait.

Another Speech at the March on Washington
In August 1963, 250,000 activists gathered on the National Mall for the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.  Galvanized by Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, the March spurred passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, outlawing segregation of public facilities in the United States. King’s vision, of course, has endured.

An open house and free BBQ are part of the celebration of the long partnership between Big Bend Community College and Heritage University on May 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the courtyard outside the ATEC building.
