Three HU students joined Dr. Eliann Carr, Assistant Professor of Psychology, this past spring for a 22-mile ruck march with soldiers from the 341st Military Intelligence Battalion. The 22-miles is based off of the veteran suicide awareness, acknowledging how 22 veterans take their life a day. This event was held on May 29, 2017, for Memorial Day and was held in Tacoma.  This event was the beginning of several planned outings hosted by the Psychology Department.  the students who participated (and completed the 22-miles) were Daisey Orduno, Yesica Alvarez, and Clemente Navarro, Jr.
